Why WiseLocal exists
People usually look for a solicitor, or another regulated professional, at a difficult moment. What they want is simple: someone local, properly qualified, and easy to contact.
Each WiseLocal directory covers one profession in one area. It lists every firm the regulator shows as authorised there, not just the firms that pay. For each firm we show the facts that matter, where each fact came from, and when we last checked it.
Who we are
WiseLocal is published by iNet Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 09509910.
We are not a law firm and we don’t give legal advice. We are not connected with any firm we list.
How we stay independent
- Every firm is listed free of charge.
- Nobody can pay to change their place in our main list. Firms are listed in a rotating, alphabetical order, so each gets a fair turn at the top. Any paid placement is shown separately and labelled “Featured”.
- We don’t take referral fees. People contact firms directly, and we never see their enquiry.
- We publish our method. See how our directories work and our editorial and verification standards.
Each directory stands on its own
Every directory in the network is a separate website with its own listings, built for its own area. That keeps each one focused on the people who use it.
