Who we are
WiseLocal is published by iNet Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 09509910. iNet Limited is responsible for personal information collected through this site. For any question or request about your personal information, email hello@wiselocal.co.uk.
What we collect
- If you just browse: we don’t ask for any personal information. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool that we run on our own server, so no outside analytics company receives the data. It records which pages are visited, which site you came from, your browser and device type, your country, and when someone follows a link to one of our directories. It does not use cookies and is designed not to identify individual visitors. See our cookie policy.
- If you email us: we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us, and use it only to reply and deal with your request.
There are no forms on this site.
Our lawful basis
We use what you send us only to reply to you and act on your request (legitimate interests). We don’t sell your information or use it for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare hosts this website.
- MXroute provides the mailbox where we receive and answer email.
They handle information on our behalf, only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
- Emails: we delete them 12 months after we have dealt with them.
- Analytics: the figures are anonymous totals, not records about you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
